The Maboneng Township Arts Experience is a South African non profit social entrepreneurship arts organization; established to train families in townships to convert their homes into creative Art Gallery Homes. Volunteers will participate in helping to build a new community with homes as art gallery attractions. Maboneng
has trained over 100 families since 2001. It is a community art, culture and service experience through the eyes of an artist that allows visitors to experience the very real, exciting and vibrant texture of the South Africa township communities. This is a sustainable project solves the problem of the artist looking for exhibition space, the family looking for work and townships looking for their place in responsible tourism.
Siphiwe Ngwenya, the founder of The Maboneng Township Arts Experience and his team, have blended service and art into the amazing journey that is the Maboneng Township Experience.
