Beat the winter blues and travel to do good to Nicaragua for a good cause March 17-25, 2018.
Join us for our 4th bi annual Help Them Help Themselves Medical Mission sponsored in part by the Pittsburgh Rotary. Whether you are a medical professional, a student, or someone who has a desire to serve, we invite you to join our Nicaragua medical mission and make a difference in the health and well being in one of the poorest municipalities in Nicaragua.
We will partner with local doctors and healthcare providers to deliver free medical care including diagnosis, medications, minor procedures, dental care, patient education, as well as referrals to higher levels of care.
This trip combines service, fun, cultural immersion and of course the opportunity to learn and grow both professionally and personally. We need volunteers who can help us with logistics, organize patient records, take vitals, translate, clean, help with our kids programs at the local school.

Everyday buses are sent out to the surrounding local villages to bring patients back to the Roberto Clemente Clinic III in Villa El Carmen – our base of operations. While the clinic is completed, it is currently not a functional clinic. During the medical mission we use the space to set up a temporary clinic consisting of 6 patient rooms, a triage area, pharmacy, and radiology room. During the mission our volunteer medical team will see 100-150 patients a day.
With this volume of patients, we are in need of the following medical volunteers;
