The culture, the food, the history and most of all the people, makes India one of my favorite places in the world

There is so much to see and do in India and I feel like I have only scratched the surface.  I spent most of my time between Delhi and Noida with a day trip to see the Taj Mahal in Agra.  In my earlier post I shared pictures from Delhi and the Taj Mahal,  Below are more pictures from additional famous sites in Delhi

I was very fortunate to be able to mix business and pleasure which allowed me to sneak in a little sight seeing and fun along the way.  I also had a very local experience, staying in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kaushick,  I am humbled at the love and hospitality I received during my stay.  They were incredible hosts, making my visit that much more enjoyable.

And so I have forgiven myself if I havent seen everything – its ok.  I will return another time and with each visit I will see a little bit more.

I ate like a local – South Indian Vegetarian Food everyday !!

Taking pictures with random strangers was also part of the fun

My traveling parters Susheela and Bharathi were the ultimate tour guides, hosts and soon to be business partners.

With lots of love I refer to them as my road dogs because we were on the road constantly.  Interesting enough, the first words I learned in Hindi were calie (pronounced che-lay) which means lets go !  Seems appropriate since we were always on the go.

This trip was a lot of things to me – a mini kick off sorts for the next phase of my business  a new edutours division that will include educational tours as well as an opportunity to travel to do good.

The time spent with the children at a local NGO was one of the highlights of the trip.  I truly felt the love.

I think I lost 10 pounds that day… we sang, we danced, we played.   Just what the soul needed.

As I prepared to go home, we were scrambling for extra baggage.  It is a tradition to send the visitor home with lots of gifts and this trip was no exception.  Sarees, Indian candy, snacks and jewelry.

I am humbled and blessed and look forward to my return

Its my hope that the next time, you will join me

Until the next journey
